Butlins Metropole Hotel

On reviewing the business which was achieving 93% room occupancy, my task was to develop profit from new revenue streams.

This was a five-point strategy: 

  • Change room pricing strategy to maximise revpar in line with seasonal trade variances.

  • Create a premium room product (Premier Suites) delivering additional revenue from same number of rooms

  • Maximise redundant space to create additional rooms

  • Develop an enhanced restaurant experience giving opportunities to increase secondary spend.

  • Develop new bar concept to increase secondary spend and bring in additional non-resident custom 

 

These changes moved EBITDA from £1,000,000 - £1.900,000 during a 4-year period.
