On reviewing the business which was achieving 93% room occupancy, my task was to develop profit from new revenue streams.
This was a five-point strategy:
Change room pricing strategy to maximise revpar in line with seasonal trade variances.
Create a premium room product (Premier Suites) delivering additional revenue from same number of rooms
Maximise redundant space to create additional rooms
Develop an enhanced restaurant experience giving opportunities to increase secondary spend.
Develop new bar concept to increase secondary spend and bring in additional non-resident custom
These changes moved EBITDA from £1,000,000 - £1.900,000 during a 4-year period.
